What is TCA Peels?
A TCA peel stands for a Trichloroacetic Acid peel and it is a process that has been used by cosmetic dermatologists to treat conditions as different as wrinkle reduction, relief from acne scars and the removal of fine lines. Sometimes, it will be applied by itself, which reduces the treatment time and gives more drastic results. If it is applied as part of a cream, it’s usually left on for about 15 to 20 minutes. Then, the doctor will use a neutralizer to complete the procedure.
Afterwards, you may look sunburned for a couple of days, but then your face will peel, revealing much better looking skin. You can count on this improvement to last anywhere from six months to a year, which is another reason why people love tca peel acne scars treatments.
